From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. If you were a fruit, which would you be and why?
Banana, probably since have a thick exterior but soft interior.

2. If you wake up and smell smoke, and you have to get everybody (pets included) out of the house safely, but you have time to grab one item, what would you grab?
I would call the fire department and use my extinguishers to put it all out before that happened.

3. If you were stuck on an island, who would be the one person you would want with you and why?
Someone who truly understands and supports me.

4. If you could change one thing about your physical appearance, what would it be?
My thighs since they're way too fucking thick.

5. If you could spend the day with one famous person, dead or alive, who would you choose?
Probably Malcolm X since he is one of my biggest ideological influences, and I aim to be his autistic equivalent--he might have been as well--since I don't need "leaders" who think they know what's best for my demographic like the retarded supremacists in charge of Ass-AN (ASAN). Yeah, I'm invoking N-word privilege.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. Have you ever been to summer camp?
Yes, in the ‘90s, a Christian camp.

2. Have you ever made a s'more?
Yes, but only at home, dozens of times.

3. Have you ever slept under the stars (no tent/tarp)?
No.

4. Have you ever had a member of the opposite sex sleep over at your house?
No, but I would love to.

5. What type of bed do you have (queen, twin, bunk, etc.)?
A rollout bed.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. What sets you apart from your friends?
My unique autistic perspective on the world.

2. What sets you apart from your family?
Being autistic and seeing through their bullshit.

3. What sets you apart from your coworkers/fellow students?
Doesn't apply now but when I worked it was being drugged to the point where I found it difficult to give a shit about my job.

4. What is the one thing about you that is most unique?
My ability to detect patterns in non-technical subjects like history, politics, religion, economics, the news, and so forth, which are sorely lacking by so-called "professionals" in those fields.

5. What is your most interesting quality?
My unique autistic perspective on the world, again.
theradicalchild: (Hot Pandeaver)
From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. If you could retroactively erase one TV show from the history of entertainment, which one would you choose?
Probably The Simpsons since child abuse is not fucking funny, and it's really triggering for me since my childhood and early adulthood were really as such, albeit mostly emotional.

2. Are you more like your mother or your father?
My mother since I can be really evil like she is, but we've both endured our share of trauma.

3. If you could take a year-long vacation, what would you do?
Be in a place where I'm far, far away from my asshole family.

4. Can you think of a reason not to answer this question?
Huh?

5. What's the nicest thing you've ever done for someone?
Take my apartment neighbors on errands.
theradicalchild: (Hot Pandeaver)
From [community profile] thefridayfive::

1. What do you like most: Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays (and why)?
Maybe Sunday since church is a good opiate for me and where I'm most at peace?

2. What was the best weekend of your life?
Can't really remember.

3. What weekend of the year is your favorite?
Playing favorites is narcissism.

4. Do you have any weekend routines?
Laundry on Saturday and church on Sunday.

5. Describe your ideal Saturday night.
I dunno, a "date" with my dakimakura?

theradicalchild: (B.O. Skunk Showering)
From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. How often do you typically shower/bath?
Every few days.

2. Do you prefer showering or taking a bath?
Definitely showering since my bathtub is too shallow for baths.

3. What's the longest you've ever gone without a shower/bath?
Maybe a week?

4. What's your favorite personal hygiene product?
Playing favorites is narcissism, so I'll pass on this question.

5. Do you shave your legs and/or beard? If so, how often?
My beard yes, since I prefer a clean-shaven face (and am the only clean-shaven male in my family overall, period, since having a beard's a pain in the ass), and I shave whenever I have an important outing. My legs? Fuck no.
theradicalchild: (Nick Scout Mirror)
From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. How far back can you trace your family tree?
About three generations.

2. What is the most interesting (or strange) thing you've heard about one of your relatives?
My dad's younger sister is actually a half-sister, as my late paternal grandmother was a real swinger.

3. How do you feel about legacy names like John Henry Smith IV or naming children after other relatives?
Fine by me. My mom sucked at naming me and my siblings despite having a shitload of aunts and uncles and gave us all naggy names (any first name that's more than two syllables to me qualifies as such and is really sing-songy).

4. Would you consider yourself and/or your family to be traditional?
My parents are real dinosaurs but my siblings and I are sort of mostly more in with the times, and I don't really give a flying fuck about tradition anymore, even if some of my views are hardline.

5. What is one tradition you have passed on to your children and/or plan to pass on to them?
I'm not having children since I would rather my cursed autistic bloodline die with me. I don't fucking care. Jesus, Popes, Dalai Lamas, Mother Teresa, and whatnot, were single, and they did perfectly fine.

Last Friday.

4. Do you pay for news online now?
Fuck no.

5. Do you have any saved newspaper clippings?
I think a few about my art being featured at my town's creative space.
theradicalchild: (Hot Pandeaver)

The former.

2. Would you sacrifice your morals for a job?
Probably not.

3. Would you ever take a job that requires you to be in costume?
If it were a costume I like, yes. A kinky uniform (i.e. park ranger), even more so.

4. What is your fantasy job?
Doing what I do now (i.e. blogging, furry art, memes) and still earning money from it.

5. Would you like fries with that?
I guess so.
theradicalchild: (Totoro Rain)

Stay indoors.

3. Have you ever been kissed in the rain?
No.

Rainy days are just standard days for me.
theradicalchild: (Baby Bunny Remy)
From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1) Do you like your birth-name? Why?
I'm fine with it, but I find it really naggy as I find names with more than two syllables to be. Remy is short for Jeremy, but I've never been called Remy by anyone in my immediate family.

2) If you could change your name to anything else, what would it be?
Nothing else.

3) What names would you consider giving your children?
Gerald Edgar, after my paternal grandmother (Geraldine) and maternal grandfather, and Jodie Ellen, after my paternal half-aunt, with Ellen being a middle name passed down through my mother's side of my family.

4) If you had a band, what would you name it, and why?
Remy's Raver's, maybe?

5) Is there a name that you completely hate? Why?
Hillary, for obviously reasons.

This week's [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
Probably German, since I'm really passionate about things and consider myself a bit of a "nazi" in many regards like video games.

2. Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to?
Maybe Switzerland, since I want to live in peace and stay the hell out of worldly affairs.

3. What's one language you wish you knew fluently?
Probably Spanish since I live in Texas and it would open my job opportunities.

4. If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go?
Maybe The Netherlands since it has a ton of perks like 90%+ of the population speaking English, being culturally and religiously tolerant, crime not being a problem to the point where they've had to close prisons, good jobs in most fields across the country, and high income with medium cost of living.

5. If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see?
The crucifixion of Jesus, maybe.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. If you were to star in a movie, who would you want to be cast as your love interest?
Someone who actually gives a shit about me and listens without judging me.

2. What genre of movie would you most like to star in?
Fantasy or science-fiction.

3. What song would you insist be on the soundtrack?
No specific song given the mentioned genres, it would be an original song.

4. What would you wear to the premiere of your movie?
Anything that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable.

5. Who would you thank in your Oscar acceptance speech?
People who inspired me and didn't traumatize me like my asshole family and countless cyberbullies.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

These questions were originally suggested by [livejournal.com profile] sooguy.

1. Ten years ago, what did you think you would be doing now?
I didn't really have fucking thoughts about the future then, I dunno, maybe continuing to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and live under their thumb.

2. Where do you think you will be five years from now?
Hopefully not suffering under the narcissistic tyranny of my asshole abusive parents.

3. Do you live life one day at a time or look to the future?
I try desperately to live in the present but all the PTSD my asshole parents and fucktards online inflicted upon me prevent me from doing so.

4. Do you wish you could go back in time and undo something in your life?
Yes, taking my parents' terrible (as always) advice and going into psychiatry, which ended up fucking me up worse mentally, giving me epilepsy, and frying my brains.

5. If you could send a message back in time and give a younger version of yourself some advice, what would it be?
Get the fuck out of your parents' home as soon as you're financially able.
theradicalchild: (Malcolm X)
From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. Take a book you've read. Now take the main character and put them in a band. What would the band's name be?

The Malcolm X-Men.

2. What instrument would that character play?

I dunno, the guitar, maybe? He'd be the lead singer, as well.

3. Who else would be in that band?

Other blacks of his time who agreed with his message (for the record, he more preached hate of whites, not violence against them, and that blacks should defend themselves against white violence "by any means necessary), definitely not mainstream "leaders" like MLK Jr. or Rosa Parks since he was right about racial integration making them more vulnerable to exploitation by whites and that racism and sordid conditions were just as present, if not more so than, in the North where his grew up every bit as they were in the South, which is where mainstream civil rights leaders and their white liberal allies (and he's really critical of them) put their primary focus.

4. Would they stay underground or get popular?

They'd probably stay underground since X would be the target of dozens of assassination plots and ultimately be killed.

5. Why did you choose that book?

I haven't finished it, but it's constantly made me say, "Damn, this N-word's on fucking fire!"

Definitely a bucket-list autobiography, and it'll definitely be one of my far-longer book reviews.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. What's a song you'd enjoy screaming along to as you drove down the highway?
Simon and Garfunkel's "Richard Cory," which is my constant state of mind.

Any place that doesn't piss me off.

3. What are the best kind of dreams?
Dreams that don't make me want to fucking kill myself.

4. What do you look for in a mate?
Someone who actually relates to me, genuinely loves and accepts me, and actually gives a fuck what I have to say, and doesn't gaslight and invalidate me all the fucking time.

5. If you were a crayon color, what color would you be and why?
Purple since I'm very enigmatic.

From [community profile] thefridayfive:

1. If you are old enough, are you registered to vote?
Yes.

2. Did you vote in the November 2023 election?
I wasn't aware there were any elections in my state (Texas) last year.

3. Do you vote in primaries?
No, since I think it should only be up to registered party members to to decide their respective parties' candidates, ideally through a single ranked voting / instant runoff system so there's no need for presidential candidates to have circuses in selective states across the country and shit.

4. Do you plan to vote in the November 2024 election?
Hell yes.

5. Do you vote early, by mail, in person, or some other way?
I vote early at my town's polling place.

Furry gift art.

3) What's a good way to show gratitude?
Not being a total dick and actually listening.

4) Do you write thank you notes?
I do say "thank you" to people who do good things for me, but to me, if they're only doing said things to get their asses kissed, I don't see the need to write formal notes to them.

5) What can you use help with these days?
Definitely being more productive and accumulating money in quicker time.
theradicalchild: (Dragon Park Ranger at Computer)

This afternoon, I dropped by my old home, my parents' place, to get the rare piece of mail I still get there.

No, thankfully, and until they sincerely apologize for all the shit they put me through during my life, my apartment is off-limits to them.

5. How do you stay in touch with family: phone calls, email, snail mail, texts, other?
Mostly text since I can't stand the sound of their voices.
