Green Eggs and Ham (Netflix series)

A (very) loose adaptation of the Dr. Seuss book, where Sam-I-Am serves as an environmental activist trying to save the endangered Chickeraffe from captivity by an executive, whilst trying to get fledgling inventor Guy-Am-I, voiced by Michael Douglas, to try the titular meal. The second season has elements from The Butter Battle Book where two enemy nations quarrel over whether to butter toast on the top or bottom, and is an homage to the James Bond movies, and there's even a reference to Game of Thrones. Very enjoyable, and there's definitely something for different audiences.
The Cuphead Show!

Focuses on the misadventures of the titular protagonist and his brother Mugman under the care of Elder Kettle. I actually enjoyed watching this more than playing the game that inspired it, it's a good homage to 1930s to 1940s theatrical cartoons, and as the last short ends on a cliffhanger I'll definitely continue watching it when more episodes release.
Sweet Tooth

Netflix series that occurs after the collapse of human civilization known as "The Great Crumble," after which hybrid animal/human children begin to be born, with a human/deer hybrid named Gus and nicknamed "Sweet Tooth" trying to find his mother. Definitely hooked me, and I look forward to the next season.
Lost in Space (2018 TV series)
Mar. 24th, 2022 10:34 am
A contemporary adaptation of the original monochrome science-fiction TV series following the space family Robinson's attempts to get home while lost in space. Will definitely age better than the original series, and while there are some oddities such as the addressing of the "Danger Will Robinson" robot as "Robot," I definitely enjoyed it.
Castlevania (TV series)
Aug. 22nd, 2021 08:41 am
Mostly based on Castlevania III and follows the last surviving member of the demon-hunting Belmont clan, Trevor, as he battles the forces of Count Dracula, vengeful against humans for killing his wife, executed by the Church for delving in science. Definitely far better than most videogame-based movies, and they should more do Netflix series based on games instead of trying to cram everything into two-hour films.
