Happy heavenly birthday to Richard Nixon (yeah, I fucking said it). Not that I 100% agree with what he did, but he's probably my "favorite" president (though I think the Historical Rankings System is narcissistic bullshit among overly-nostalgic Washington insider historians, kind of like ranking Star Wars films, and how narcissistic parents play favorites with their children), because he taught the lesson, "Don't believe every damn thing your politicians and government tell you," which people Left and Right seem to constantly forget. And he actually fucking resigned unlike Bill Clinton, and stayed out of the public eye for the rest of his life, whereas Clinton remains a pridefully-politically-active asshole to this day. Yet for some reason (*cough* the mainstream media *cough*) only Nixon's the bad guy. Even if Nixon wasn't sorry for what he did, the sincerest apology is changed behavior. George W. Bush has pretty much done the same, and massive kudos to him for that as well, and for staying out of the insanity of the last election (he just quietly congratulated Trump).

It's also actor J.K. Simmons' birthday, which I celebrate since J. Jonah Jameson from the Spider-Man series is my all-time fictional journalist, as this scene aptly demonstrates:
Photographing squirrels? Heh. Probably the best male movie laugh ever, as well.
Remy out.
