Lightning cracks from dark green clouds. People get out of a battered 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Sentinel below and look on.

One of many films whose release the continuing coronavirus pandemic affected, Afterlife is unlike the 2016 film an actual sequel to the original two 1980s Ghostbuster films, where a mother and her children in New York City inherit an Oklahoma estate, move there, and discover their connections to the Ghostbusters. Sort of lays on the fanservice a bit thick, but that's arguably one of its biggest draws, along with many shoutouts to the previous films, and I definitely enjoyed it.

I had seen the first film I think on Netflix and wanted to rewatch it since I noticed its sequel, among the many films delayed by the coronavirus pandemic, on the streaming service but it was oddly absent, but I have a half-decent memory of the first movie, and the second features Farmer McGregor's son Thomas getting married to Bea, who aims to publish books based on Peter and his friends, other characters of different species from Beatrix Potter's works. Was a cute, fun movie, with some nods to other films such as the Ocean's series.

Another Marvel Cinematic Universe film. I felt it was okay, and largely concur with critics about its positive and negative portions.

I remember seeing a trailer for this film over a decade ago, and just the title alone made me giggle, so I decided to rent it on Amazon Prime, and while it does start a bit slow, the final half-hour largely made up for it, and one could consider it The Producers of our time, given the similar controversies surrounding the eponymous musical like Springtime for Hitler did in Mel Brooks' original film and its remake.

Often feels like a retread of the first film in the series, but has some pretty good action and effects.

The final battle between the humans of Zion and the machines that have enslaved them for some time. Pretty good action and effects, although the conclusion feels somewhat Pyrrhic.

Machines are due to reach the real-life human settlement of Zion in seventy-two hours, and it's up to Neo to battle the forces within and without the Matrix to stand a chance of survival. Largely on par with the first film, and despite having seen Reloaded in the theaters when it first premiered, I ironically haven't seen Revolutions at all, ironic given that the first Matrix sequel ends with a cliffhanger.

Another great MCU film; in particular I really liked the fantastical CG furry animals in the alternate dimension.

A girl named Sarah, portrayed by Sarah Connelly, wishes her infant brother Toby spirited away by goblins, and realizing she made a mistake, she traverses the eponymous maze to confront the Goblin King Jareth, portrayed by the late David Bowie, to prevent him from being turned into a goblin. Definitely a good swan song by Jim Henson, with some pretty good effects and music, not to mention plentiful quirky characters.

Sort of overstays its welcome, but is definitely better than the original theatrical version, and gives more depth to the DC superheroes that weren't covered in prior films.
