I like Star Wars myself, but I don't think any entry in the franchise infallible, and would consider the writing of the series to be simultaneously good and bad, good in that their plots are generally clear-cut, and bad in that there are a ton of plot holes (I could name many in A New Hope) and things such as misusing "parsec" as a measure of time rather than distance (although personally, I think Han was just idiotically BS-ing about his ship's capabilities). It's pretty much up to the books (those before Disney's purchase of Lucasfilm being non-canon), television series, and games such as Fallen Order to fill in the holes that the films admittedly leave, and they do a relatively decent job in that respect.
